Yamal-Gydan tundra

WWF Abstract

The Yamalagydanskaja Tundra ecoregion is located in north-central Russia on the Yamal and Gydan Peninsulas. These large peninsulas, separated by the Ob Gulf, run parallel to one another and extend north into the Kara Sea. This ecoregion also includes a number of offshore islands, including Ostrov Bely, Ostrov Vilkickogo, Ostrov Sibirjakova, and Ostrov Olenj.
